Two new warrior minons

Elder Warstomper (custom Hearthstone card)Like I've stated many times before, I would like to see more diversity among the races you see in Hearthstone. It's just so awesome to challenge someone with a theme based deck. Now, Tauren and Ogres might need some more representation in the game. Both races are mostly featured in the Warrior class. So with this in mind I thought of the following cards:

On of the cards; Elder Warstomper is e remade version of the Angry Warstomper. I thought the previous card didn't have to be a epic and should have some better stats.

The Conflicted Brute is a entirely new card. It gives you another Ogre for the 3-mana slot. Giving the possibility of you playing "mono-Ogre". Not-really. But it makes it a bit more possible. It also features the 50% change ability that all Ogre's seem to feature. The difference is that this minion gives Warrior possible free removal by utilizing it's hero ability.
Conflicted Brute (custom Hearthstone card)

I like the idea's. I would love it, if Blizzard would put a 3-mana Ogre in Neutral or the Warrior class. Please do not add Ogre's to any other class like you did with Mounted Raptor. Seriously if you added that raptor (art wise) to hunter we could have seen some Dinosaur decks. That would have been awesome :D.

Let me know what you think of these two cards. If you have any more idea’s to create cool tribal decks, please let me know in the comments.

A warm thanks to Blizzard

Hi everyone. It's been a while since my last post. In the last weeks I have finished my master-thesis and I'm now waiting to hear the results (very exciting! :D). Today should be the day I get my feedback, so while waiting I wanted to make an update on the blog:

Ive been looking at the newest spoilers and wanted to thank Blizzard because I really like the new cards that were revealed for the upcoming adventure! Every single card is awesome and adds so much to the variety to what is currently in the game. Some of these cards have been on my wish list for a while. So, with me waiting for results and most other gamers waiting for the League of Explorers adventure; let me talk about the cards I have been waiting for:

One of the first cards I wanted to see was the Baby Bluegill. I don't think I ever wrote a post about it on the blog, but she has been sitting in my brainstorm-box for almost two years. The version Blizzard has made (Murloc Tinyfin) is a little bit different from my concept (it has no charge and is a 1/1 instead of a 0/0), but I am overjoyed to see a little baby Murloc in the game. This little Murloc can grow up to be deadly when parented by a proper War Leader.

From one of my oldest wants, we jump to one of the newer. In May this year I uploaded the Savage Raptor concept. This concept showed a two drop Raptor that would get stronger with allies. Blizzard did give me my raptor (Mounted Raptor), but made him more expensive to cast and gave him the Pilot Shredder ability. A bit disappointing flavor wise, but at least I can now make my Troll and Raptor deck!

Then there is the Scarab Hatchling I've been wanting to see. Okay, this one doesn't feature anything near the idea I had, but it is a Jeweled Scarab. Finally! I love Blizzard so much for adding a small scarab and for adding Anub' Arak in the previous expansion. I can now finally make a deck that has any resemblance to the first 'tribe' I ever made for this blog.

In the previous expansion Blizzard gave me my wishes as well. A long time ago, I had come up with this Summon portal idea, which was meant to shuffle one minion back into your deck and get another random minion in return. This card looked very similar to the Unstable portal that currently resides in the game. The version wanted was a bit more of a gamble and was a lot more expensive to cast. So, I did get the random minion part, the correct artwork and the right class, but in the end it they gave me my portal on steroids! :).

So in the end, I just wanted to show Blizzard how thankful I am from them to add the cards I always wanted to see. This post also shows how you guys how horrible I am at giving cards the correct stats (Lol :D). Anyway, thanks for the new adventure Blizzard. I am looking forward to your next expansions!

Hero-skins I would like to see

Like I stated before; I'd love to see more diversity in Hearthstone than there is at this moment in time. The Hero skins have to power to do exactly that. For example: Magni is the first Dwarft Hero and Alleria is an Elf.  Medvish is in my opinion the coolest new hero, but he replaces a already human hero. Which is a bit of a missed opportunity.

Momentarily these are the races that do not have a hero to represent them: Undead, Tauren, Draenei, Gnome, Goblin, Worgen, Troll and Pandaren. I would love to see a Draenei als Priest-hero or Paladin Hero. Also a Troll shaman and Undead Warlock would be awesome. The table below shows some of the possibilities:

Druid | 1. Malfurion Stormrage - Night Elf | 2. Hamuul Runetotem - Tauren.
Hunter | 1. Rexxar - Half-Orc/Ogre | 2. Alleria Windrunner - High Elf.
Mage | 1. Jaina Proudmoore - Human | 2. Medivh - Human.
Uther | 1. Uther Lightbringer - Human | 2.  Yrel (?) - Draenei.
Priest | 1. Anduin Wrynn - Human | 2. Tyrande Wisperwind - Night Elf
Rogue | 1. Valeera Sanguinar - Blood Elf | 2. Garona Halforcen - Half-Orc/Draenei
Shaman | 1. Thrall - Orc | 2. Farseer Nabundo (?) - Broken Dreanei
Warlock | 1. Gul'dan - Orc | 2. Cho'gall (?) - Ogre
Warrior | 1. Garrosh Hellscream - Orc | 2. Magni Bronzebeard - Dwarf.
Special | 1. Lord Jaraxxus - Demon | 2, Ragnaros the Firelord - Elemental.

What I've learned from making this small summary is that It's quite hard in some cases to add more diversity to the heros. I at least hope that the upcoming skins will depict one Tauren, 1 Night Elf, and 1 Dreanei. Judging from the table, that would be possible right? :D Any way, my point is add more variety to the different races in the game!

Prophet of Akali

Prophet of Akali (custom Hearthstone card)
It seems I'm a bit on the legendary-train these last posts, however I don't think this ability would suit a non-legendary card. Its ability might be a bit too powerfull for those cards. So the idea of this card is that you can't one-shot kill this Troll with any strong minion. It takes multiple minions or a 1/1 minion and a spell like Frostbolt to take him down. Also Maexxna or a Emperor Cobra would still be able to kill it, because it can attack the prophet.

I've been trying to lover the stats of this guy because I still feel he's kinda strong, but in the end I didn't think nerfing him would work well. Also, the art is kinda wrong. It was really hard to find some cool Troll-art that i haven't used on other concepts yet.

So in the end I do not really like this Prophet of Akali. I think it's a bit easy to abuse. Do you guys like him, or are you wondering about the same issues? Let me know!

Master Hight

Master Hight (custom Hearthstone card)
I would really like it if there were more cards like Nozdormu; cards that influence the board / game in a way that printed cards can never do. For example I would love to see a card similar to the Hat-trick card that Yugi used in the Yu-Gi-Oh series (these three hats drop and shuffle around while a creature is hidden beneath one of them). So why not think of a minion that conseals all minions on the board? It could hide the cards' tekst, picture and stats for both players.

Players that pay attention to the game will obviously remember in what order all minions are, however if time goes by, they may forget or get confused by new minions that are placed on the board. It's just a fun ability; probably totally broken, but who cares. I though it would be interresting. The art, name and stats of this card were pretty randomly chosen. ;)

On another note, have you guys seen the new skins and the new Brawl mode? I love 'em! Especially the Brawl mode interrests me. I always love making these weird decks with cards no-one plays. Let's hope this forces more people to make some strange decks as well! I think it's sad that the skins aren't unlockable by gold or have a different Hero ability, however I do understand Blizzard's choice. Maybe if they would drop the price of those skins arond 50%, them maybe a lot less players would make such a problem out of it (and even buy it) However I didn't study for that, so that's probably not true. ;)

Finally a Dwarf-hero for my Dwarf-deck!

How awesome is this. Finally we get some more items to customize our decks with. This allows players to make a Dwarf-only deck lead by a Dwarven hero with a Dwarven-card back. This adds so much flavor to the game.

There are more hero's comming up. As far as I know one per class. I hope they add some real diversity; presenting Drenei, Blood Elves, Night Elves, Taurens and Trolls. Hopefully they don't add more Orcish heroes, becasue they are really overrepresented at the moment.

Now, the sad part is the price that's attached to these heroes. I'd love it if you got ALL alternate heroes for a price of $10,0 instead of just one hero. Come on; this is seriously overpriced. Was there originally more content that they removed? Another possability that I would find acceptable is selling them for $5,- per skin. That would make me think about buying a few. Now however, I just feel kinda scammed (does It sound weird to say that?). I do understand that Blizzard wants to make some money of the game. So, let's hope that there is a 50% off sale in the future, because I will definetly not buy all these skins ($90,-) like this.
